North Africa's largest event focused on water and waste management, Watrex Expo's 7th edition attracted a large number of visitors from Egypt and the region again this year. The expo counted mainly with Chinese and Turkish companies, but we could also meet with companies from the Gulf region and India, as well as trade representatives from Danmark and Italy.
4 Hungarian companies were co-exhibitors at HEPA's 42 sqm booth: Hidrofilt Kft., Palota Környezetvédelmi Kft., NanoCleanWorld (who HWP in the meantime) and HWP. The Managing Director Zoltán Horváth was asked to represent 6 of our member companies. The visitors were very interested in the companies just as in HWP, and during those three days, dozens of interested people got to know the activities of the represented members and our organization.
The Embassy of Hungary in Cairo also supported the preparation of the Hungarian companies for the local market and the development of their partnerships. The Ambassador of Hungary to Cairo, András Kovács, and the economic attaché, Bernadett Orosházi, visited our booth.“A persisting, patient persuasive work is required to start a successful and long-term business in Egypt with the local partners.” - advised the head of mission. He emphasized that the embassy can provide assistance to Hungarian companies with administrative issues and licensing procedures. The exhibitors and the representative of HEPA attended the military attaché's Hungarian Armed Forces Day reception on May 18 where they had the opportunity to establish further business relationships.
HWP's participation in the expo was effective and very efficient. Thanks to HEPA and Mac-Line Hungary Kft., responsible for the construction of the stand, for their high-quality cooperation.
