IFAT India 2025

India is becoming an increasingly important player in the environmental technology market and plays a key role in advancing solutions for a sustainable future. One of the most prominent platforms for this is IFAT India, an international trade fair held annually as a catalyst for innovation, partnerships, and industrial growth.

The event, held from October 14–16, 2025, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, hosted over 400 exhibitors from around the world and attracted nearly 16,000 visitors, highlighting the scale and significance of the exhibition.

As a co-exhibitor with the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA), HWP was proud to participate in this prestigious event. One of our member companis - Pureco Ltd. - was present at the event and focused on its water purification technologies, with special emphasis on regenerable adsorbent-based drinking water purification solutions.

Beyond exhibiting, HWP also organised a panel discussion led by Bálint Horváth, Secretary-General of the Hungarian Water Partnership, addressing one of today’s most pressing public health and sustainability challenges: arsenic contamination in groundwater and drinking water, along with potential solutions.

The session featured an engaging professional dialogue with active participation from representatives of India’s scientific, regulatory, and municipal sectors. Discussions covered not only the dangers and challenges posed by arsenic contamination but also the technologies used for its removal. Pureco Ltd.'s AsMET drinking water purification product, based on specialised filter resins, received significant attention. As a cost-effective, sustainable, and long-lasting technology, AsMET can remove arsenic from drinking water while minimizing hazardous waste generation.

Throughout the three-day exhibition, our booth was a hub of continuous discussions, consultations, and B2B meetings. There was remarkable interest in Pureco Group's drinking water purification technologies.

We are hopeful that Pureco's AsFreeWATER pilot project in India—supported by the European Union’s Eureka INNOWWIDE program and concluded with excellent results—will soon be followed by further successful drinking water purification initiatives.
