Who we are
Hungarian water professionals possess globally recognized expertise and innovation in water and wastewater management. Over a decade ago, export-oriented Hungarian water companies joined forces to form a cluster aimed at strengthening their international presence, successfully delivering solutions across many regions of the world.
In response to the rapidly evolving global water sector, the organization renewed its strategic priorities in 2019, creating a more open, competitive framework with a strong focus on SMEs and an expanded international network.
The Hungarian Water Partnership builds an independent professional network that connects Hungarian technological, engineering, and consultancy expertise across the full water cycle. Its members provide solutions ranging from drinking water and wastewater treatment, water reuse, stormwater management and desalination to irrigation, hydrogeology, measurement technologies, and complex water infrastructure development, supported by R&D, education, financial advisory, and project design services.

Support in presenting relevant references and mobilising resources through the involvement of HWP members, as well as inclusion in the reference database available on the HWP website;
Enhanced international visibility through HWP’s global network of water-sector organisations and partnerships, and the opportunity to become part of Hungary’s leading water-sector partnership;
Organisation of professional events in Hungary and abroad—including workshops, seminars, conferences and exhibitions—covering technology, financing, export promotion and other relevant topics, with opportunities for members to participate;
Participation in professional events in Hungary and selected international target markets, including the representation of members based on prior agreement;
Support in identifying and developing research and development partnership opportunities;
Collection and sharing of information on international funding and tender opportunities, with the involvement of Hungarian and international partners;
Collection and sharing of professional, market-related and economic-diplomacy intelligence relevant to international business activities.
HWP also supports members’ sales activities, communications and the presentation of their references to international markets and potential foreign partners. Where appropriate, HWP provides guidance or involves suitably qualified partners to offer technical and practical expertise concerning foreign business environments and address technical matters arising during the delivery of international services.
