The 53^rd World Groundwater Congress of the International Association of Hydrogeologists, is taking place from 14 to 18 September 2026. This prestigious event returns to Hungary after half a century, and we are proud to welcome you again to the beautiful city of Budapest. This city is connected to water in many ways.

The aim of the conference is to bring together stakeholders from the Montenegrin and international water utility sectors, promoting knowledge exchange, the presentation of innovative technologies and the development of business relationships.

The event will be attended by utility operators, decision-makers, engineers, technology suppliers and consultants, providing an excellent forum for learning about water utility developments in the region and establishing new partnerships.

The conference is expected to become one of the leading professional meeting points for the Western Balkans region in the coming years.

The main objective of the conference is to present the latest information, research findings, and operational experiences in the various areas related to wastewater treatment, management, resource recovery and project management.

The theme of the Conference, “Water and Equal Opportunities,” highlights the importance of building a water sector that is not only technically strong, but also fair, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of communities. Inspired by the World Water Day 2026 theme, Water and Gender, this year’s Conference takes a broader perspective, addressing both equitable access to water and sanitation services and equal opportunities within the water sector itself.

Ecomondo, the leading event in Europe and the Mediterranean area for the green, blue and circular economy, will bring the international waste management community to Rimini from 3–6 November 2026.

The Water Forum is one of Southeast Europe’s best-known water industry exhibitions and conferences and will be held for the 17th time. The event aims to bring together developers, manufacturers, service providers, utilities and researchers working in water management technologies on a single platform.
