Dr. Karoly Kovacs will attend ExpoAPA and the International Conference accompanying the Exhibition Event as an invited speaker of the session on: European Experiences and Perspectives on the Development of the Water Sector.
ExpoApa 2026, the leading specialized exhibition for the water sector in the Danube Region and Eastern Europe, and the International Conference „The Water Industry – past, present, future”, is organized by the Technical and Scientific Council of the Romanian Water Association, to be held between September 8th–10th 2026, at the Romexpo Exhibition Centre in Bucharest, Romania.
Organized annually by the Romanian Water Association, ExpoApa is the main meeting point for water and wastewater utilities, public authorities, financial institutions, professional associations, academia, and companies providing technologies and solutions for the water sector. The event offers a unique platform for dialogue, exchange of experience, and the promotion of the latest trends and innovations in the industry. The central theme of this year's international conference, addresses one of the most important challenges facing the sector today: maximizing the impact of European investments in water and wastewater infrastructure while ensuring long-term sustainability, efficiency, and resilience.
The conference will bring together representatives of public authorities, water operators, international financial institutions, consulting companies, contractors, technology providers, and professional associations from across Europe.
