Representatives of the Hungarian Water Partnership have had the honour and pleasure of actively participating in this event series in previous years and are pleased to recommend attending this prestigious and important regional event.

SHUKOS and SHUKALB, invites you to join us at our 14th Balkans Joint Conference and Exhibition, taking place from 3–5 November, 2026, in Prishtina, Kosova, at the Emerald Hotel.

The theme of the Conference, “Water and Equal Opportunities,” highlights the importance of building a water sector that is not only technically strong, but also fair, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of communities. Inspired by the World Water Day 2026 theme, Water and Gender, this year’s Conference takes a broader perspective, addressing both equitable access to water and sanitation services and equal opportunities within the water sector itself.

Access to safe, reliable, and affordable water and sanitation services is essential for public health, economic development, and quality of life. Yet disparities in access and service quality continue to affect communities across the region and beyond. Ensuring that no one is left behind requires utilities, governments, and stakeholders to work together to ensure that services that are planned and delivered in a way that is accessible, resilient, and responsive to the needs of all citizens.

At the same time, better services depend on strong institutions and skilled professionals. As the sector faces challenges such as infrastructure modernization, regulatory compliance, digital transformation, climate pressure, and workforce renewal, it is essential to attract and retain talented professionals, support career development, and promote equal opportunities for participation and leadership.

The Conference will bring together utilities, policymakers, development partners, academia, and private sector representatives to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and discuss practical solutions that promote inclusive service delivery, workforce development, and institutional excellence across the water sector.

Recognized as one of the leading water events in the Western Balkans, the Balkans Joint Conference and Exhibition attracts more than 500 participants from across the region, Europe, and beyond. It offers a unique opportunity for networking, learning, and collaboration among water professionals, utility leaders, decision-makers, researchers, and industry representatives.

Alongside the Conference, a large-scaleEquipment, Technology, and Services Exhibition will showcase the latest products, innovations, and solutions supporting the water and wastewater sector. The exhibition provides an excellent opportunity for participants to connect with technology providers, explore emerging trends, and discover practical tools to improve utility performance and service delivery.

We look forward to welcoming you to Prishtina for three days of knowledge exchange, professional networking, and collaboration as we explore how water and equal opportunities can help build stronger utilities, more inclusive institutions, and better services for all.
