Hungarian Water Partnership and Saigon Technology University launch strategic cooperation in Vietnam`s water and food sectors

The Hungarian Water Partnership (HWP) and Saigon Technology University (STU) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Ho Chi Minh City, marking a significant milestone in Hungarian–Vietnamese cooperation in the fields of water management, technology innovation, and education.
The agreement was signed on behalf of HWP by Róbert Forintos, Founding Co-Chairman of the Hungarian Water Partnership, with the support of the Consulate General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City. The partnership aims to facilitate the introduction, adaptation, and implementation of advanced Hungarian water technologies in Vietnam through joint pilot projects and professional cooperation.
The collaboration will focus on several key areas, including:
Drinking water and industrial water treatment technologies
Wastewater treatment and groundwater management solutions
Water quality assurance for the food and beverage industry
As part of the agreement, the parties have also committed to organizing a professional workshop in Vietnam in September 2026 with the support of Mr. Gábor Lehőcz, Consul General of Hungary in Vietnam, and the Consulate General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City. The event will bring together industry stakeholders, technology providers, and institutional partners to foster direct business connections and promote knowledge exchange in the targeted sectors.
The Hungarian delegation participating in the signing ceremony was led by Róbert Forintos, Managing Director of Tradeland Ltd. and Co-Chairman of HWP, accompanied by Gábor Lehőcz, Consul General of Hungary in Vietnam, Tímea Kricskovics, Project Coordinator of HWP Vietnam, and other distinguished partners.
Under the agreement, STU will play a key role in research and development activities, technology transfer initiatives, and building connections with Vietnamese industrial and institutional stakeholders. The partnership will also strengthen academic and educational cooperation through joint training programs, knowledge-sharing initiatives, student and expert exchanges, and applied innovation projects.
This strategic cooperation represents another important step in deepening professional relations between Hungary and Vietnam. By combining Hungarian expertise in water management with Vietnam’s dynamic development and innovation ecosystem, the partnership creates a strong foundation for future projects that support sustainable water management, industrial development, and innovative food-sector solutions.
The MoU reflects HWP’s long-term commitment to international cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of Hungarian water technologies in rapidly growing global markets.
