From Data to Decisions: Hungarian Water Expertise at Vietnam Water Week 2026
The Hungarian Water Partnership returned to Vietnam Water Week 2026 in Hanoi, where digital transformation, water resilience and people-centred innovation took centre stage. HWP and its member company Puraset presented Hungarian expertise in smart water management, arsenic removal and decentralised drinking water treatment while strengthening cooperation with Vietnamese partners.
HWP at IFAT 2026 – Connecting continents, shaping water’s future
During the four days of this year’s IFAT Munich international environmental trade fair, the stand of the Hungarian Water Partnership (HWP) became a true international meeting point. We welcomed visitors, partners, and decision-makers from five continents, engaging in numerous professional discussions.
HWP Represented at the Seventh Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol on Water and Health
Dr. Károly Kovács represented the Hungarian Water Partnership at the Seventh Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol on Water and Health in Budapest. Discussions focused on the 2026 UN Water Conference, the global water infrastructure financing gap and the need to support scalable, bankable solutions that accelerate progress toward SDG 6
HWP at EXPOAPA 2025: Water Resilience, Full Cost Recovery and Smarter Investment
The Hungarian Water Partnership took part in EXPOAPA 2025 in Bucharest, contributing to a high-level regional dialogue on the European Water Resilience Strategy. Discussions focused on the true cost and value of water, full cost recovery, life-cycle investment decisions, stormwater management and stronger cooperation across Europe, Africa and Asia.
Hungarian Water Partnership at IFAT Munich 2024
The Hungarian Water Partnership represented Hungarian water expertise at IFAT Munich 2024 together with member companies Pureco, Pureco-Tradeland and Puraset. Alongside technologies such as Septopure® and PurAID®, HWP hosted the “Meet the Hungarian Water Industry” forum and signed a cooperation agreement with the German Water Partnership.
Hungarian Water Partnership at the 25th International Business Fair Mostar
The Hungarian Water Partnership represented its export-oriented member companies at the 25th International Business Fair Mostar, held from 16-20 April 2024. With more than 800 exhibitors from around 30 countries, the event provided a strong platform for B2B networking, technology transfer and new cooperation opportunities for Hungarian water-sector companies.

On 23 March, HWP organised a dedicated side event entitled “How to respond to the most urgent water-related development needs in the developing world? Bankable and sustainable WASH solutions.”
